question about diff I can make by registering

I would like to know since I just registered with the tea party if this makes any significant difference with the current trends in the political choices or government--or how I can do so.

Practically I think it's going to take time like anything. Lately both parties are running on insane deficits whenever they get any power and the mentality seems to be quite entrenched in DC that wastage of taxpayer funds are acceptable. But with every protest and the movement in general getting bigger I think things will take a change eventually. Afterall in USA the people decide what happens at the end of the day and if enough people decide that government wastage is not what they want... eventually the right policies will come into play.
